Christine earned a Master of Public Policy degree from Duke University's Terry Sanford School of Public Policy. She wrote her Master's Project, "Major Trends of International Grant-Making Foundations," for the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. While attending Duke, she was also a graduate student member of the Foundation Impact Research Group. Previously, Christine graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Emory University, where she earned majors in Political Science and History and a minor in Environmental Studies. She received a magna cum laude distinction for her senior honors thesis, "Sweatshops of the Soil: Varying Protections for Migrant Farm Workers in the United States."

Her past professional experiences include internships for U.S. Senators Bill Nelson and Bob Graham, the U.S. House of Representatives' Foreign Affairs Sub-Committee on Europe and Office of Congressman Robert Wexler, then-Florida Senator Ron Klein, the Carter Presidential Center, the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, and the National Crime Prevention Council.
