GCIP in Los Angeles County

" Strengthening Democracy, Increasing Opportunities: Impacts of Advocacy, Organizing and Civic Engagement in Los Angeles County " documents how 15 nonprofit organizations and their allies leveraged foundation grants to secure nearly $91 of benefit for every dollar spent for Los Angeles citizens.


The fifteen nonprofits from Los Angeles County featured in the research are:

  • Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Community Service Center
  • Los Angeles Metropolitan Churches (LAM)
  • People Organized for Westside Renewal (POWER)
  • South Asian Network (SAN)
  • Strategic Concepts in Organizing and Policy Education (SCOPE)

In partnership with Southern California Grantmakers, NCRP presented the results on March 2 at a gathering in Los Angeles, CA.
