
"Strengthening Democracy, Increasing Opportunities: Impacts of Advocacy, Organizing and Civic Engagement in Pennsylvania" looks at how 13 nonprofits and their allies helped improved their communities and amplified the voices of underserved residents in the democratic process through policy engagement. These nonprofits leveraged foundation grants that generated a $122 return for every dollar spent.
This report is the 6th in a series by the Grantmaking for Community Impact Project (GCIP) to encourage more funders and other grantmaking institutions to increase or start funding advocacy and community organizing.

The Delaware Valley Grantmakers and Grantmakers of Western Pennsylvania each hosted panel discussions on the results of the study on February 2 and 4 respectively.
