Our research shows that it must also understand who will benefit from its grants, recognize the need to fund policy and civic engagement, and seek input from grantees and the communities they serve.
Through a series of studies, this initiative found a $115 return for every dollar invested in policy and civic engagement by 110 organizations in 13 states. It has assembled a comprehensive list of resources for grantmakers that wish to fund advocacy and community organizing.
