The National Committee for Responsive Philanthropy has announced that an additional thirty-two foundations have signed on to the Philanthropy's Promise campaign, an NCRP-led effort to prioritize underserved communities and generate new support for solutions to social problems.
To date, nearly one hundred grantmakers representing almost $3 billion in annual giving, including private, family, corporate, and community foundations, have joined the Promise. New signatories include the Oakland-based East Bay Community Foundation; the San Francisco Foundation; Grassroots International in Boston; the Elton John AIDS Foundation; the New York City-based Robert Sterling Clark Foundation; and the Calvert Foundation in Bethesda, Maryland.
