In turbulent times, our communities are in need of basic services, as well as efforts to address the root causes of complex social problems with long-term, policy solutions. In Strengthening Democracy, Increasing Opportunities: Impacts of Advocacy, Organizing and Civic Engagement in North Carolina, NCRP looked at how North Carolinians benefited from grassroots and policy advocacy efforts by more than a dozen local nonprofits on issues such as education, health care and minimum wage.

This free half-day event features presentations and discussions with nonprofit and philanthropic leaders in the state on the latest research and ideas on documenting, communicating, and achieving impact through advocacy, organizing and civic engagement.
