Multi-Year Funding Study Recall

Washington, D.C. (9/06/2012) -- It has just been brought to our attention that the Foundation Center data we used for “The Philanthropic Landscape: The State of Multi-Year Funding” we released on September 5 were inaccurate. According to the Center’s director of research, Steven Lawrence:

“Due to a programming error, figures provided by the Foundation Center for ‘The State of Multi-Year Funding’ misstated the level of multi-year foundation support for the periods 2004-06 and 2008-10. The Center is working with NCRP to correct these data for a revised version of the report.”

We take pride in the robustness of our research and place high value on getting the most accurate data available to inform our analyses. Because of this error, we are temporarily pulling “The State of Multi-Year Funding” from our website.

We will post a revised version of the fact sheet once we have analyzed the corrected numbers.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.

For specific questions regarding Foundation Center data, please contact the Center directly.
