Foundations Pledge to Make Donations Work Harder

Several charitable foundations that grant millions of dollars here in Oregon have make a public pledge to do more to benefit those who need additional help. Those groups have agreed to allocate at least half of their grant money to causes that benefit the elderly, the poor and other groups that are struggling. On top of that, one-quarter of donations will be used to end that root causes of social inequities.
