Meet the NCRP team
Senior Director of Human Resources and Administration
Beverley Samuda-Wylder is the Senior Director of Human Resources and Administration. In this position she works closely with the President and CEO and the team leaders to plan and implement strategic initiatives that promote NCRP’s work with funders, its members, its advocacy and work on social justice movements. Beverley is responsible for ensuring that the human capital and operational capacities that underlie the programmatic activities of the organization are in place and successfully supportive and functioning efficiently.
Beverley is a veteran of the nonprofit sector. Prior to joining the staff of NCRP, she was Director of Finance and Administration and Assistant Board Secretary at Philanthropy New York, a membership association for foundations. Before that, she worked extensively as a freelancer in both the nonprofit and private sector supporting and helping to build and strengthen organizational capacity.
Finding a way to tie the supportive role behind-the-scenes to the work in the trenches has always been important to Beverley and connects her to the bottom line mission, which in turn fuels her passion for helping to bring about change. Serving on several nonprofit boards over the years, in support of her personal interest in youth and women issues, has provided the opportunity to participate in the work on preventing teenage pregnancy, protecting and supporting abused women and mentoring youth through summer jobs and community empowerment programs.
Beverley currently volunteers with Suited for Change and a community food pantry. In addition she frequently supports movements and causes that are related to her other social justice interests which advocate for and address the needs of the underserved.
