Event Intern
Originally from New York City, Cleyris Perez-Santos moved to Washington, D.C., in 2018, to begin her studies at American University. She is currently working towards her master’s degrees in justice, law and criminology with a focus of public policy. She previously attended State University of New York at Plattsburgh and obtained bachelor’s degrees in criminal justice and political science. In her studies and as a first-generation student, she learns how to navigate social justice issues and ensures that underserved communities are getting the resources they need.
