2018 Adaptive Philanthropy, Resilient Sector Conference
February 23, 2018
New Haven, CT

Today’s environment of social and political turbulence has acute consequences for nonprofits. Their access to resources and the rights of communities they serve are increasingly at risk. At the same time, this environment is motivating citizens to take action, and prompting funders to think more carefully about how best to respond to the needs of at risk communities. As a keynote speaker, NCRP’s President and CEO, Aaron Dorfman, is honored to draw on his expertise in responsive philanthropy and years of community organizing. In this environment of rapid change and uncertainty, nonprofits and funders must focus on how to keep the sector not only resilient but also increasingly effective in spite of these external challenges.

Yale Philanthropy Conference background:

YPC is an interdisciplinary forum that explores salient topics in philanthropy in order to foster dialogue, strengthen networks and cultivate leadership in the sector. Organized by student leaders from Yale SOM and other professional schools at Yale, YPC fosters an environment where presenters, practitioners and students alike are encouraged – and inspired – to delve deep into the issues around philanthropy. YPC is one of the premier philanthropy conferences in the country and, as the only one organized by MBA students, it provides a unique and critical perspective on challenging management issues facing the field.
