2018 Solidarity Defense & Action Funder Briefing
February 12-13, 2018
In light of increasing concerning trends, there is an urgent need in the philanthropic sector to collect and collaborate. Caitlin Duffy, senior associate for learning and engagement, will contribute her voice in a powerful discussion across issues and identities to build a collaborative path forward.
Solidarity Defense & Action Funder Briefing will be a unique opportunity to interact with funders across multiple sectors. Ignite speeches from thought leaders and activists, ad hoc conversations on litigation and communications strategies, and facilitated workshops, will all be included as part of the agenda. The ultimate goal of the Briefing will be to come together and shape strategies that defend and move forward efforts to protect people, place and planet. An amazing lineup of speakers will help frame this meeting, including Alicia Garza, Black Lives Matter co-founder, who will kick off the Briefing by sharing her insights on the challenges and opportunities ahead.
