Help your Members Connect the Dots Between Power and Equity
July 17, 2020
Virtual Conference
Philanthropy Serving Organizations (PSOs) have the unique privilege of being able to convene and organize some of the most influential funding groups on any given issue. As such, they play a key role in helping the philanthropic sector invest in and adhere to equitable practices. An understanding of the role of power is critical to effectively advancing racial equity. In this session, NCRP will bring together a panel of PSOs who have helped their members connect the dots between power and equity using its Power Moves toolkit as well as other resources. This interactive discussion will also explore how PSOs can help their foundation members bring these topics back to their boards.
Speakers: Jeanné Lewis, Vice President and Chief Engagement Officer, National Committee for Responsive Philanthropy; Arizona Grantmakers Forum; Iowa Council of Foundations; San Diego Grantmakers
