Won’t You Be my Neighbor: Local Foundations and the Pro-Immigrant, Pro-Refugee Movement
May 13, 2020
Webinar

A collective brainstorm with the pro-immigrant, pro-refugee movement: Join NCRP, FIRM, NPNA and We Are All America to explore how local philanthropy can and should step up to provide deep, long-term support for the pro-immigrant, pro-refugee movement and the communities you serve. This is especially true during the COVID-19 pandemic, as immigrants and refugees are falsely vilified, disproportionately impacted and excluded from relief. The conversation will feature an advanced preview of NCRP’s new free, interactive dashboard showing local foundation giving for immigrants, refugees and the pro-immigrant, pro-refugee movement in all 50 states and D.C. Together, we will discover how foundations in each state granted to immigrants, refugees and the pro-immigrant, pro-refugee movement before COVID-19 emerged as well as brainstorm local funder engagement strategies and opportunities with movement peers. Note: To promote candid conversation, foundations may not attend; we welcome funder interest and exploration of the tool when it becomes live the following day.
